	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Ma pratique recourt à la création d’interfaces et de mises en situation qui sondent les relations sensibles entre le corps, l'espace et l'objet. L’expérience de l’inconfort, du fragile et de l’ambigu instigue mes recherches sur l'apprivoisement de l'environnement social, naturel et bâti. Cette approche, intimement liée aux contextes dans lesquels s’inscrivent mes interventions, génère des activations performatives et des installations qui amalgament textile, objet, photographie, dessin, vidéo et livre d’artiste.&#38;nbsp;

Travaillant à partir de la condition d’entre-deux, je m’intéresse à l’effet de la jonction réunissant deux concepts présentant une certaine polarité. Dépendamment du projet, des croisements antinomiques sont soulevés, entre privé / public, confort / inconfort, personnel / interpersonnel, intérieur / extérieur, objectivité / subjectivité, voilé / dévoilé, éveil / sommeil, animé / inanimé. 
 
En contexte de présentation, les dispositifs sculpturaux prennent la forme d’extension du corps (prothèse, membrane) ou de l’espace (superficie, habitacle) et s’activent lors de performances publiques, d’interventions in situ ou de collaborations avec une audience participative. Ces actions engagées par les corps, porter, déployer, attacher, déplacer, animent les objets sculpturaux d’un caractère vivant. Le mouvement s’y révèle comme agent actif de transformations tant sur le plan physique que psychique. Les qualités sensorielles de ces expériences ouvrent ainsi à des potentiels intuitifs et somatiques liés à l’intelligence du geste, d’où émergent le vulnérable, l’empathique et l’affect. Mon travail explore en ce sens, les manifestations sensibles d’un être-ensemble pluriel, circulaire et interconnecté.


	(EN)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; My practice revolves around the creation of interfaces and situations that probe the sensitive relationships between body, space and object. The experience of discomfort, fragility and ambiguity informs my research into taming the social, natural and built environment. This approach, which is intimately linked to the contexts where my interventions take place, generates performative activations and installations that combine textiles, objects, photography, drawing, video and writing.

Working from a condition of in-betweenness, my interest lies in the effect of the junction of concepts that are somewhat polarized. Depending on the project, antinomic intersections are raised between private/public, comfort/discomfort, personal/interpersonal, interior/exterior, objectivity/subjectivity, veiled/unveiled, awake/sleep, animate/inanimate. 

In their presentation context, the sculptural devices take the form of body extensions (prostheses, membranes) or space extensions (surfaces, compartments) and are activated during public performances, in situ interventions or collaborations with a participatory audience. These bodily actions—wearing, deploying, attaching, moving—give the sculptural objects a living character. Movement is revealed as an active agent of physical and psychological transformation. The sensory qualities of these experiences open up intuitive and somatic potentials linked to the intelligence of gesture from which emerge vulnerability, empathy and affect. In this sense, my work explores the sensitive manifestations of a plural, circular and interconnected togetherness. &#38;nbsp;

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Le doux soft club est un collectif d’artistes-commissaires rassemblant les pratiques artistiques du duo Pénélope et Chloë, Mariane Stratis et Marion Paquette. Les quatre artistes se sont rencontrés au baccalauréat en arts visuels et médiatiques à l’Université du Québec à Montréal (2012). C’est à travers de nombreux échanges et le désir de voir évoluer leurs pratiques ensemble qu’est né le doux soft club (2017). Animées par un désir de cohésion, elles voient comme essentiel le rapprochement des visions plurielles. Le club est une structure souple qui invite à des collaborations complices pour mieux partager, échanger, s’influencer. Le collectif se déploie selon une esthétique de la douceur qui met de l’avant des thèmes liés à une réhabilitation du sensible par une pratique de l’attention (care), de la bienveillance et de la résilience. Le doux-soft est envisagé par les artistes d’après une capacité d’émerveillement pour le banal. Cette approche intimement liée avec les contextes dans lesquels elles s’inscrivent mène à dégager une poésie de l’ordinaire. Les projets sondent, conversent et prennent diverses formes de présentations: intervention en extérieur, oeuvre web, livre d’artiste, exposition, performance. En ce sens, le travail performatif permet d’animer les objets sculpturaux dans le but de révéler leurs caractères sensibles et sensoriels. Ces manipulations, documentations et déclinaisons expographiques opèrent certains glissements qui transforment l’expérience du regardeur. En revisitant constamment les potentiels de chaque projet, le club engage une réflexion sur l’aspect polymorphique, vivant et permutable de la production. Au cours du processus une intelligence collective émerge, alimentant les recherches et réalisations : s’inter influencer, voir la force de l’inspirant pour l’inspiré, copier-coller, se lancer la balle, attraper ⇄ relancer.

	(EN)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; doux soft club is an artistic and curatorial collective reuniting the practices of duo Pénélope et Chloë, Mariane Stratis, and Marion Paquette. The four artists met while completing their B.A.s in visual and media arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal (2012). It is through numerous exchanges and a mutual desire to see their practices evolve together that doux soft club was founded in 2017. Moved by cohesion, they see the regrouping of their plural visions as an essential part of their process. The club is an adaptable structure that invites all members to collaborate in the sharing, exchange and interinfluence of ideas. 

The collective is interested in an aesthetics of softness, which brings forward a rehabilitation of the senses through notions of care, empathy, and resilience. Doux-soft is understood by the artists as the capacity to be amazed by the banal. This capacity is closely tied to the contexts through which the works appear, and allow for a poetics of the everyday to emerge in their works. Their projects investigate, dialogue with, and take on a multiplicity of forms: exterior interventions, websites, artist books, exhibitions, and performances. In this way, their performative work allows them to animate the sculptural objects they create, revealing their sensorial and sensuous characters. These manipulations, documentations and exhibitions seek to transform the viewer’s experience through a series of slippages. By constantly revisiting each project’s potential, the club reflects on the polymorphic, lively and permutable aspects of their production. Through their process, a collective intelligence emerges, feeding their research and production: inter-influence, determine how something is influenced, copy and paste, throw a ball around, catch it, and throw it back.

Leur corpus collaboratif s’active par une approche multidisciplinaire combinant sculptures, performances et documentation vidéographique. Le duo explore le potentiel de la «condition d’entre-deux» dans des contextes in situ et par le biais d’objet-sculpturaux activables. Oscillant entre opposition et complémentarité, les œuvres demi-mesure mettent en relief les effets que peuvent produire le croisement de polarités distinctes.

Oscillating between opposition and complementarity, these “half-measure” works underscore the effects of various interactions between distinct polarities.

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Partant d’une étendue souple et bidimensionnelle, espace ≈ surface se définit comme une membrane aux potentiels sculpturaux infinis. Cet objet élémentaire, muni d’une série de poignées, est ici manipulé et devient un outil d’exploration sensorielle. Entre les corps, la rencontre se matérialise en une suite de formes à la fois désobéissantes et cohésives. Sculptures éphémères aux géométries variables, structures linéaires tendues, souples ou organiques : autant de configurations émergent de l’interaction ici caractérisée par l’instant et l’écoute.
Tễle_VisionS est une initiative portant sur l’implémentation d’un média délibérément non aligné et expérimental, dissident, pirate et apatride.Ce projet réunit des écoles d'art de cinq territoires : La Cambre, l’Erg (Bruxelles), L’Academie des beaux-arts de Kinshasa (Kinshasa), L’École des arts décoratifs (Paris) l’ISBAS (Sousse) et l’ESSTED (Tunis)&#38;nbsp;afin de proposer deux jours d'exposition artistique en live, le 27 et 28 novembre [16h_22h en continu in-situ].
(EN) &#38;nbsp; Starting from a soft, two-dimensional expanse, espace ≈ surface defines itself as a membrane with infinite sculptural potential. This elemental object, equipped with a series of handles, is manipulated here and becomes a tool for sensory exploration. Between bodies, the encounter materializes as a sequence of forms that are at once unruly and cohesive. Ephemeral sculptures with shifting geometries, linear structures that are taut, supple, or organic: a multitude of configurations emerge from an interaction shaped by immediacy and attentive listening.
Tễle_VisionS is an initiative focused on implementing a deliberately unaligned and experimental media platform — dissident, pirate, and stateless. This project brings together art schools from five territories: La Cambre and Erg (Brussels), the Academy of Fine Arts of Kinshasa (Kinshasa), the School of Decorative Arts (Paris), ISBAS (Sousse), and ESSTED (Tunis), to present two days of live artistic broadcasting on November 27 and 28 [continuous from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on-site].

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Ce livre d’artiste a été conçu en complément de l’exposition demi-mesure, qui partage son nom avec le duo formé par Clara Cousineau et Marion Paquette. La publication retrace et met en lumière la démarche développée par les deux artistes depuis 2020. Elle rassemble les voix de deux autrices montréalaises : Joséphine Rivard, qui signe un texte sous forme d’essai, accompagné d’une traduction anglaise, et Mimi Haddam, qui porte un regard poétique sur le projet. L’ensemble s’inscrit dans un dialogue visuel et textuel soigneusement orchestré grâce au travail graphique d’Etienne Murphy et Marion Paquette.

The whole unfolds within a carefully orchestrated visual and textual dialogue, thanks to the graphic design of Etienne Murphy and Marion Paquette.

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Le tandem demi-mesure prend forme en 2020, à travers une correspondance entre les artistes Clara Cousineau et Marion Paquette, avant de se déployer dans le cadre d’une résidence à Espace Transmission — un ancien garage alors en cours de revitalisation, situé sur le Plateau-Mont-Royal.

L’exposition demi-mesure s’articule autour d’une œuvre vidéo mettant en scène une rencontre entre deux sujets issus d’univers opposés qui s’illustre par l’emploi du noir et du blanc. Entre fonction et fiction, des dispositifs de rencontre donnent corps à une poésie de la distance et mènent à l’élaboration d’un langage commun. Les gestes cherchent l’équilibre, guidés par le jeu. À demi pas, les mesures s’accordent dans une dynamique tantôt polarisée, tantôt complémentaire. La matérialité des objets s’enrichit à travers les échanges et se reflète dans leur transformation progressive. À mesure que la rencontre évolue, l’adversité se mue en complicité. L’emploi de la couleur apparaît alors comme une zone grise qui devient marqueur de compromis et agit comme un tiers espace dans lequel les discours s’alignent.

Cinq ans plus tard, les objets-sculptures — manipulés, négociés, performés — donnent lieu à une nouvelle exposition. Transformés une dernière fois, ils se présentent désormais dans une matérialité unifiée. Formes et couleurs fusionnent pour devenir des entités communes, porteuses d’une essence partagée

  
	(EN) &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;The demi-mesure duo emerged in 2020 from correspondence between artists Clara Cousineau and Marion Paquette and would eventually develop into a residency at Espace Transmission—an old garage on the Plateau Mont-Royal then undergoing renovation.

The demi-mesure exhibition project is structured around a black-and-white video featuring an encounter between two subjects from different worlds. Operating at the intersection of function and fiction, devices designed to facilitate encounters give shape to a poetry of distance and lead to the development of a common language. Play-oriented actions are deployed in a search for equilibrium. A little at a time, the measures harmonize dynamically, alternating between opposition and complementarity. The materiality of the objects is enriched by the crossovers and reflected in the objects’ gradual transformation. As the encounter evolves, adversity is transformed into complicity, with colour appearing as a grey zone that functions as both an indicator of compromise and a tertiary space in which the respective discourses align.

Five years later, these sculpture-objects—manipulated, negotiated, performed—give rise to a new exhibition. Transformed one last time, they appear in the guise of a unified materiality. Forms and colours blend, sharing their respective features and bearing a common essence.

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Optimus est un ensemble de luminaires modulables réalisé à partir de matériaux récupérés. Conçu dans un esprit de simplicité et de minimalisme, il se décline en plusieurs versions — d’appoint, suspendu ou sur pied.
L'ensemble Optimus est fabriqué à partir d'un tissage de PET et de nylon, des produits initialement utilisés pour le séchage de la pâte à papier. L’intérêt de ces textiles industriels réside dans leurs propriétés techniques, telles que leur rigidité souple, leur résistance à la tension et leur stabilité dimensionnelle. Leur perméabilité offre également des jeux d’opacité et de transparence qui permettent de sculpter la lumière. En jouant avec la mise en tension et l’assemblage mécanique, Optimus révèle le caractère sculptural et poétique de ces matériaux détournés.
  

	(EN) &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;Optimus is a series of modular light fixtures made from reclaimed materials. Designed with simplicity and minimalism in mind, it comes in several versions — table, pendant, and floor lamps.

The Optimus collection is made from a woven PET and nylon textile originally used in the paper industry for drying paper pulp. The interest of these industrial textiles lies in their technical properties, such as flexible rigidity, tensile strength, and dimensional stability. Their permeability also creates subtle variations of opacity and transparency that allow light to be sculpted. By playing with tension and mechanical assembly, Optimus reveals the sculptural and poetic qualities of these repurposed materials.

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Corps Commun est une installation interactive et in situ qui s'étend sur l'ensemble de l'espace d'exposition, reliant 45 éléments fabriqués à partir de voiles de bateau surcyclées. Le projet comprend également neuf dessins réalisés aux pastels et présentés dans des cadres en mycélium.
L'installation explore l'interdépendance entre les individus et leur environnement, s'inspirant du mycélium—le réseau fongique souterrain essentiel à la cohésion des écosystèmes. Agissant comme messager entre des environnements distincts par l'échange de ressources et d'informations, le mycélium incarne une vision collaborative, holistique et interconnectée de l'écologie.
Conçu comme une constellation sociale participative, Corps Commun invite le public à explorer l'interconnexion à travers une structure collective qui décentralise l'individualité, favorisant une réflexion sur les influences mutuelles entre les humains et leur environnements. En intégrant le mycélium à la fois comme matériau et métaphore, accompagné de dessins inspirés du rhizome, l'installation rend visibles les réseaux invisibles mais fondamentaux qui soutiennent l'équilibre. À travers l'immersion sensorielle et la participation du public, l'installation réimagine des modèles d'interaction qui mettent en valeur l'adaptabilité, l'échange et la collaboration. Examiner la société contemporaine à travers la pluralité des corps

Notre corps est conçu comme un organe par lequel nous percevons le monde qui nous entoure. Chacun·e d'entre nous est un·e sujet·te qui génère de la communication, reconnaît les autres et tisse des relations. Mais pourquoi l’existence humaine s’accompagne-t-elle de non pas un, mais de multiples « corps » ? L’un des éléments qui illustre cette pluralité du corps est sa fonction reproductrice. Chaque être humain naît de l’interaction de plusieurs corps, et depuis environ 200 000 ans, lorsque l’Homo sapiens serait apparu, l’histoire s’est déroulée comme une suite d’innombrables interactions entre des corps humains.

Par ailleurs, les avancées médicales permettent aujourd’hui d’extraire des parties du corps humain, comme des organes ou du sang, pour les greffer à d’autres corps en ayant besoin. En d’autres termes, il est possible de manipuler les corps vivants pour intégrer des parties provenant de plusieurs individus. De même, la prolifération des technologies numériques dans notre quotidien a favorisé une multiplication virtuelle des corps. Par exemple, les images d’avatars ou les corps modifiés par des applications incarnent des identités multiples qui transcendent la réalité physique.

Cette exposition, centrée sur l’existence plurielle des corps humains, présente les œuvres de Shikichi Osamu, Shoji Asami et Marion Paquette, trois artistes qui explorent dans leurs pratiques respectives les relations corporelles entre les individus.

Shikichi, en considérant la danse comme une forme de communication préalable à l’expression verbale, recherche des moyens de transmettre et d’internaliser les sensations générées par les interactions entre individus dans d’autres corps. Shoji traduit les mondes qu’elle explore avec son propre corps en espaces picturaux, invitant le spectateur à faire l’expérience de ses œuvres comme s’il naviguait entre son corps et celui de l’artiste. Le travail de Paquette, génère quant à lui des structures collectives qui intègrent des individus en coexistence et en interaction, construisant des espaces où les frontières entre privé et public s’estompent.

En se concentrant sur les relations subtiles entre les corps individuels, qui continuent de s’influencer mutuellement, les trois artistes révèlent la nature plurielle du corps humain. Ils rappellent ses facultés fondamentales d’imagination et de sensibilité, et inspirent à envisager de nouvelles façons d’étendre ou d’élargir cette pluralité à travers différentes formes de « corps ».YOSHIDA Sawako  &#38;nbsp;

Examining contemporary society based on the plurality of the body/ies

Our body is built to functions as an organ by which we perceive the world around us. Every single one of us is a subject that generates communication, recognizes the people around, and builds relationships with them. But why is it that human existence comes with not only one, but multiple “bodies”? One thing that facilitates the plural nature of the body, are its reproductive functions. A human is always born from multiple other bodies, and for about 200,000 years since Homo sapiens is said to have emerged, history unfurled as a string of countless interactions between one human body and another. At the same time, advanced medical technology has enabled us to extract such individual human body parts as organs or blood, and transplant them into the bodies of people in need of those specific parts. In other words, it is possible to manipulate living bodies to integrate parts of multiple bodies of other human beings. The pervasion of digital technologies in everyday life promoted the virtual multiplication of individual bodies, whereas images of avatars or bodies modified using apps, for example, assume multiple identities through various aspects on levels other than physical reality. 


This exhibition focusing on the plural existence(s) of (the) human body/ies, features works by Shikichi Osamu, Shoji Asami and Marion Paquette, three artists who examine in their respective works the mutual bodily relationships between human individuals. 
Considering his dance as a form of communication at a stage prior to verbal formulation, Shikichi pursues ways of transferring and internalizing sensations generated through interactions between individuals, into other bodies. Shoji translates the worlds that she explores with her body into painted spaces, to create works that viewers are to experience in a way as if moving back and forth between their own and the artist’s body. Paquette’s creations are collective structures that incorporate human individuals in coexistence and interaction with each other, constructing spaces where the boundaries between private and public are blurred. Each focusing on the delicate relationships between individual bodies that continue to affect one another, the three artists create works that project the plural nature of the human body, remind us of the imaginative faculty and sensibility as its fundamental abilities, and inspire us to envision new possible ways of extending/expanding it into different forms of “bodies.”YOSHIDA Sawako  &#38;nbsp;

	(FR)&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Qui rejoint et qui colle est une installation sculpturale composée d’une estrade circulaire et d’une pièce textile suspendue, conçue spécifiquement pour&#38;nbsp;L’École expérimentale. Initiée par le centre d’artistes&#38;nbsp;L’Œil de poisson&#38;nbsp;à Québec,&#38;nbsp;L’École expérimentale&#38;nbsp;est un laboratoire vivant d’idéation collective, fait par les artistes, les penseur·euse·s et les intervenant·e·s culturel·le·s. Elle prend la forme d’un court programme intensif de cinq jours visant à développer des savoirs alternatifs, collectifs et artistiques.

L’estrade modulable, créée pour l’occasion, se divise en quatre éléments mobiles permettant diverses configurations spatiales. Le textile, conçu pour épouser les contours de l’objet, peut être utilisé comme housse protectrice ou se déployer librement dans l’espace, se métamorphosant ainsi en tapis temporaire, rideau, couverture, etc.

L’installation interroge les notions de circularité et de cohésion, invitant ses utilisateur·ice·s à repenser les relations que nous entretenons avec notre environnement. Qui rejoint et qui colle&#38;nbsp;devient un espace de réflexion collective, où les fonctions et les formes se réinventent pour offrir des expériences sensorielles et sociales inédites, favorisant un dialogue ouvert et sensible.

Le poids qui fait qu’on ne s’envole pas est une intervention performative qui a lieu lors du vernissage et qui agit comme une démonstration des potentiels d’activation de l’installation, à travers une série de gestes attentifs et sensibles.

Axée sur la réhabilitation du sensible, la performance explore une pratique de l’attention (care), de la bienveillance et de la résilience. Les gestes deviennent des vecteurs de soin, résonnant comme une invitation à reconsidérer notre rapport à l’autre et à notre environnement. Le poids qui fait qu’on ne s’envole pas interroge ainsi notre capacité à accueillir et transformer le quotidien, où la vulnérabilité se transforme en force, et où l’attention devient un acte de résistance.


	(EN) &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; “Qui rejoint et qui colle” is a sculptural installation composed of a circular platform and a suspended textile piece, specifically designed for L’École expérimentale. Initiated by the artist-run center L’Œil de poisson&#38;nbsp;in Quebec City,&#38;nbsp;L’École expérimentale&#38;nbsp;is a living laboratory for collective ideation, created by artists, thinkers, and cultural workers. It takes the form of an intensive five-day program aimed at developing alternative, collective, and artistic forms of knowledge.

The modular platform, created for the occasion, is made up of four movable elements that allow for various spatial configurations. The textile, designed to follow the contours of the object, can be used as a protective cover or unfold freely in space—transforming into a temporary carpet, curtain, blanket, etc.
